The Southport Coast Links Championship is delighted to have Nick Dougherty’s support for the event.
Nick Dougherty’s Golf Career was established on the very same Southport Coast where he had a glittering Amateur career prior to moving to the professional game in 2001.
Nick commented ”It’s fantastic to see events like the Southport Coast Links Championship, giving players the chance to play on some great courses all in one exciting week of Golf. I have had the opportunity to play on all of the courses involved in Southport Coast Links Championship and the region really is England’s Links Golf Capital. This is certainly an event, if I was still an amateur, I would have loved to have competed in”.
"This was my second year playing this event. Once again it was fantastic. The organisation was first class and everything was very clear at all venues. The golf courses were some of the best I've played and great value for the price. Finally it was great to play with so many like minded and friendly competitors. I would definitely recommend this event to any lovers of links golf.".
